kmod-lp

This package provides the line-printer (lp) kernel module. It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any one specific build.

Red Hat dropped the line-printer support (lp) in RHEL6. This package provides that driver for RHEL6. Note that the parallel port hardware drivers are still included (for uses other than line printer mode).

[Update] The line-printer support has been reinstated in kernel-2.6.32-131.12.1.el6.
