kmod-coretempkmod-coretemp provides a backported coretemp sensor driver for reporting the CPU temperature for Intel Core series of processors. There is no coretemp driver present in EL5.4 or earlier. Red Hat backported a coretemp driver into EL5.5 taken from around kernel-2.6.26. ELRepo will continue to support backports of this driver from the most recent upstream kernels. Users can use the distro driver where it works or try this later driver where it doesn't.This driver is backported from the latest mainline kernel and requires lm_sensors >= 2.8.10 which is also found in ELRepo. Sample output: $ sensors coretemp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 0: +28°C (high = +100°C) coretemp-isa-0001 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 1: +27°C (high = +100°C) coretemp-isa-0002 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 2: +25°C (high = +100°C) coretemp-isa-0003 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 3: +24°C (high = +100°C) Page last modified on Saturday 29 of May, 2010 13:28:15 MDT |
