0000227: Kmod driver for AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)

This wireless device came with this hp pavilion g4 laptop and noticed
that elrepo has no driver for this. I know enough how to compile and
install modules but not how to build a kmod package. I got the drivers
from here: http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k [^] and used
this snapshot compat-wireless-2012-01-19.tar.bz2 to build and load the
module which works fine on this laptop.

I was wondering if the folks at elrepo would consider building a kmod
package for this?

Thank you

0000226: HP be2net driver request (Emulex chipset)

I recently installed HP NC552SFP dual 10Gbit network adapters in our server.
Currently Centos 6.1 ships with be2net driver 4.0.160r.
It would be nice to have an elrepo kABI-tracking kmod of a more recent driver.

0000229: kmod-hpsa-3.0.0-2 request + driver disks for EL6 x86_64

Unfortunately Centos6 does not support the HP p212, p410, p410i, p411, p711m, p712m and p812 Smart Array controllers (yet?). sigh :-(

I'm requesting a lot of features lately, I hope I'm not bothering you.

It would be great if this driver can be added to the elrepo. For OS installation purpose a driver disk is also needed. (like the aacraid driver disk which is working fine)

I'm currently using CentOS6.2 x86_64.

Thanks,
0000228: kmod-flashcache + flashcache utils request for el5/el6

I recently came across a block device to cache and accelerate a normal block device using a SSD based block device.

The source can be found at github
https://github.com/facebook/flashcache [^]

It would be very nice to have an elrepo flashcache kmod. Can this be build from the github source? And the flashcache utils?
I'm using Centos6.2 x86_64.

Thanks,
Within Ubuntu 11.10 on this same system I have 5.1 surround sound working. It seems to me that there are missing profiles in the Sound preferences when I install kmod-alsa.
(this bug has been first reported on #elrepo on freenode.net)

I'm on CentOS 6.2 (2.6.32-220.2.1.el6.x86_64) and my LAN adapter requires sk98lin. I'm currently using kmod-sk98lin-10.88.3.3-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64 and I'm trying to update the drivers to 10.91.2.3-1. I followed the instructions from the release announcement from the mailing list (sudo yum --enablerepo elrepo update kmod-sk98lin) and I get:
Error: Package: kmod-sk98lin-10.91.2.3-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64 (elrepo)
The driver disk is available for (citrix) xenserver, but does not work for CentOS 6.2 (EL6)

Thank you

0000201: Driver for gdth?

Hello,

This is in cross-reference to a forum thread located: https://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=34308 [^]

I am interested in obtaining either a driver disk for the gdth RAID controller driver, or obtaining a module (gdth.ko) which has been compiled against kernel 2.6.32-71.el6.i686.

I am attempting to utilize an Intel RAID SRCS14L controller during the installation of CentOS 6 (using CentOS-6.0-i386-bin-DVD.iso).

It has been suggested elsewhere that I compile a kernel module, then recreate the initrd.img to be included on installation media.

I lack understand on kernel compilation, and, as detailed in the previously mentioned forum thread, compiling just the module eludes me.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks,

0000204: RFE: via-cputemp

If possible backport this module to el5.
lm_sensors will need update too. lm_sensors(from elrepo) detects via C7 cpu, but there is no c7temp modules exists in upstream kernel or in kernel-ml.

PS: sorry for my english

The following is probable something Linbit can/should fix. After the abrt the system keeps on running and the drbd disk does not appear to be dysfunctional. It's more that kernel oopses give me the creeps.

The /var/log/messages file displays the following

Dec 14 11:24:36 vmhost2b abrt: Kerneloops: Reported 1 kernel oopses to Abrt
0000206: Adaptec has no Linux Driver Disk for the 6000 series of RAID controllers for el6 and el5

It would be great if the driver disk can be added to ElRepo. I'm already very pleased with kmod-aacraid.
Thanks!

0000213: Kmod alsa changed my X settings

I can't work sound on my computer so I installed kmod-alsa.
I thought alsa was causing the problem.

However, as kmod does, it somehow changed my settings with kernel and
I can't use my X server.
Currently installed
centos6, version 76
centos6 plus version 76
centos6 version 131 <-currently using.

X server used to be fine when I was using version 76 centos.
installing plus caused problem(same) but I worked it around by selecting nonplus at the grub level.
However I installed kmod and grub select doesn't work now...
